Psychologist (PhD in Clinical Psychology) - Transitional Pain ClinicJoin Vancouver Coastal Health as a Psychologist in the Transitional Pain Clinic at Vancouver General Hospital. The salary range for this position is CAD $52.81/Hr. - CAD $65.96/Hr.The Transitional Pain Clinic is a pre and post-surgical interdisciplinary pain clinic that aims to enhance readiness for surgery and recovery from post-surgical pain or trauma. The clinic serves clients who have a planned surgery or recently had surgery or trauma services and are at risk of developing Chronic Post-Surgical Pain (CPSP) and long-term opioid use. Responsibilities: Provide psychological services to clients, including assessment, treatment, and education.Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver client care.Maintain client records, including documentation of diagnosis and treatment plans.Liaise with external agencies and establish effective working relationships with stakeholders.Participate in clinical/case conferences and provide formal and informal consultations.May provide clinical teaching and work direction to Psychology Residents, Post-Doctoral Fellows, and students. Requirements: Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a program accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association or American Psychological Association.Two years of recent related experience in clinical psychology, including therapeutic, diagnostic, and consultation services.Current full registration as a Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) or registration within two years of employment.Valid Class V B.C. Driver’s license and possession of a personal vehicle with business insurance coverage when required.
