OverviewSenior Insurance Consultant - Ottawa/Kingston/Kanata at Scotiabank. This role focuses on driving life insurance revenue for lifestyle protection solutions – term insurance, disability insurance, critical illness, and immediate annuities – within the assigned region. The incumbent collaborates with advisors across all business lines and with Senior Insurance Consultants to provide comprehensive sales support that leverages skills and enhances efficiency. The role may deliver permanent life insurance solutions to less affluent and complex clients as needed.ResponsibilitiesLead the end-to-end Insurance sales process on lifestyle protection solutions and select permanent insurance opportunities, including providing quotes and illustrations, meeting with clients and advisors to assess needs, completing documentation, communicating through underwriting, and delivering policies. Ensure compliance with business requirements and standards and deliver optimal solutions in clients’ best interests.Build and maintain strong regional relationships with advisors and Client Solutions specialists, integrating lifestyle protection solutions into the total wealth planning process and supporting planners’ ability to position them effectively as part of recommendations.Provide back-up support to peers in other regions as needed (e.g., volume spikes, vacations, availability).Drive and support regional business development efforts, collaborate with SWIS colleagues to increase advisor and client engagement on insurance, raise awareness of lifestyle protection needs and solutions, and work with ICs to increase advisor engagement and regional segmentation.Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.Understand the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in line with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adequate controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.Support a high-performance and inclusive work environment.QualificationsLife Insurance Licensing (LLQP)Extensive knowledge of the life insurance industry5+ years of insurance industry experience, including salesDesirables: CFP or CLU or willingness to pursue them; CSCLocationCanada : Ontario : OttawaSeniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionSales and Business DevelopmentIndustries: Banking #J-18808-Ljbffr
