Job Description

Our client is an innovative organization committed to advancing the standard of care within the healthcare sector. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, they aim to improve disease treatment while minimizing side effects. They are currently seeking a Manager, Accounting and Reporting to join their team in Mississauga. This individual plays a crucial role within the Finance team, offering support to senior management and other departments by delivering accurate financial analysis and reports. This role is responsible for preparing internal and external financial reports, as well as assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting analytics. The position involves close collaboration with both the Finance and Sales teams to support data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply US GAAP standards and document findings through memos and working papers
  • Oversee revenue transactions, reconciliations, and general accounting activities
  • Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Support the preparation of regulatory reports and forms
  • Participate in the Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) process
  • Coordinate quarterly reviews and audits with external auditors
  • Prepare year-end audit working papers
  • Analyze variances between actual and forecasted results, focusing on efficiency and key metrics
  • Maintain accounting procedure manuals and oversee ERP processes
  • Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications:
  • CPA designation is a must
  • Someone coming from a large public accounting firm (Big 4, MNP, BDO, Grant Thornton)
  • Must have 4+ years and US GAAP experience
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills
