NSB Omega is searching for Cost Controllers for our MAJOR Utilities Client in St. John's, NL.Assignment DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of finance tables for all portfolios for inclusion in Capital Budget Application and other filingsFacilitate the sanctioning, opening and closing of approved projectsReview & reconcile Front End Engineering costsReview Basis of Estimates for appropriate cost allocationsReview least cost analysis with Investment EvaluationCompletion of capital project cost reporting; including variance explanationsCreation of work orders to facilitate the tracking of costsCompletion of project forecasts, capital budget change orders, contract change orders and cost flows.Preparation of monthly capital accrualsAttestation and coding of vendor invoices and the completion of progress billings.Completion of project close out documentation for Finance including Asset Assignment Forms, Interest cut off forms, etc.Other adhoc reporting, as required.Education And Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a similar fieldRelevant proven cost control experience is required, preferably in a capital project environment.Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting processes and softwareExperience in the electric utility industry is considered an asset.Duration1 Year (With Possibility of Extension)LocationSt. John's, NL #J-18808-Ljbffr
