Logistics Analyst II – PingWindLocations: Norfolk & Portsmouth, VA (X2); NAS Oceana VA Beach, VA; Cherry Point NC; Indian Head & Baltimore MD; West Coast/East Coast RemoteRequired Clearance: Public TrustCertifications: NoneRequired Education: High School/GEDRequired Experience: 2‑5 years in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operationsPosition Description: PingWind seeks a Logistics Analyst II to support the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Fourth‑Party Logistics (4PL) Program. The role analyzes, develops, and optimizes supply chain operations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. The incumbent coordinates with internal departments, suppliers, and transportation partners, leveraging data analysis and logistics systems to enhance overall supply chain performance. The role works under limited supervision and may provide guidance to junior analysts or logistics staff.Primary Responsibilities:Analyze end‑to‑end logistics operations to identify cost reduction, service improvement, and process optimization opportunitiesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as transportation cost, delivery performance, and inventory turnoverDevelop and implement logistics strategies that align with organizational goals and operational requirementsConduct root cause analyses for delivery delays, shortages, or inventory discrepancies and recommend corrective actionsOversee and coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and distribution processesSupport the planning and scheduling of materials, supplies, and finished goods to meet demand forecastsManage logistics documentation, shipping manifests, and inventory control proceduresEnsure logistics operations comply with company policies, federal regulations, and safety standardsCoordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and third‑party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure service level complianceUtilize ERP and logistics management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) to manage data and support decision‑makingDevelop reports and dashboards summarizing logistics performance metrics and trendsSupport system upgrades, automation initiatives, and data integrity improvement effortsCollaborate with cross‑functional teams including procurement, finance, production, and IT to resolve logistics issuesRequired Qualifications:2‑5 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operationsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related fieldMilitary experience preferredAbout PingWind: PingWind delivers outstanding services to the federal government, with expertise in cyber security, IT infrastructure, supply chain management, and continuous improvement.
