Identify and resolve complex U.S. tax issues, collaborating with external advisors as needed. Manage income tax return preparation for non-U.S. subsidiaries (e.g., Canada) and consolidate global income tax provisions, including deferred tax impacts from purchase price adjustments, holdbacks, earnouts, and phantom equity. Review working capital adjustments and purchase price accounting to ensure proper income and sales tax liabilities. Compute, review, and maintain transfer pricing calculations, ensuring timely completion of reports and contemporaneous documentation, and manage related payments. Lead and mentor onshore and offshore income and sales tax specialists; oversee U.S. and Canadian sales tax compliance. Collaborate with finance and treasury teams to repatriate cash using tax-efficient methods, ensuring withholding tax compliance. Maintain accurate tax records, reconcile current tax receivable/payable accounts, and forecast short- and long-term global cash tax requirements. Support M&A activities by performing pre-acquisition tax planning and due diligence. Provide responses to inquiries from U.S. and non-U.S. tax authorities and complete ad hoc tax projects, including research, memos, and sales tax analyses.
