About the Role As a Data Engineer in our data team, you will own developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and data infrastructure for our analytics, machine learning, and reporting platform. To drive success, you will use SQL and Python to design and implement the data platform on cloud‑based services, and collaborate with data scientists, software engineers and other data users to ensure data availability and accuracy. Key Responsibilities Practice software engineering principles to design and implement efficient data pipelines that collect, process, store large volumes of data from SQL, API, streaming sources, etc. Maintain and operate the data platform using Airflow, dbt, Dataflow, ClickHouse and BigQuery. Achieve required data availability and accuracy KPIs. Implement data governance and security measures, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures. Support Machine Learning Engineers in creating real‑time and batch data pipelines that fit data specifications and ML inference assessment. Support Analytics Engineers in building data models and metrics for product performance. Skills and Experience B.S. in Computer Science or a related STEM field. Minimum 3 years of experience as a data engineer. Strong proficiency with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, or similar. Proficient SQL and Python coding skills for data engineering and/or machine learning. Experience developing and operating Airflow or other open‑source data orchestration tools in production. Previous experience in a high‑growth SaaS startup environment. Hands‑on experience building AI agents is a bonus. Proficiencies and Attributes Consider data as a product and take end‑to‑end responsibility for its journey. Navigate ambiguous business requirements and lead projects to deliver reliable, well‑defined datasets with measurable impact. Passionate about the evolving data landscape and continuously exploring modern tools and methodologies. Show keen interest in advancements such as new processing engines, lakehouse architectures (Iceberg, Delta Lake), and improved orchestration frameworks. Unwavering focus on data integrity and trustworthiness, building testable, observable pipelines that meet freshness SLAs and cost efficiencies.
