Valemount Elementary School - 0.18 FTE (Fridays) - K-7 ELL/Library - Limited Duration Contract Teacher Valemount Elementary School is seeking a 0.18 FTE (Fridays) K-7 ELL/Library teacher on a limited duration contract for School District No. 57 (Prince George). Awards and experience: Applicants with assessment and trauma-informed practice experience are preferred. Qualifications And Experience Must have or be eligible for membership in the Ministry of Education Teacher Regulation Branch. Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or proof of application). Knowledge of the Ministry of Education’s redesigned curriculum and core competencies. Evidence of appropriate qualifications and experience in teaching. Proven ability with assessment as and for learning strategies. Experience integrating local Indigenous culture and traditions into curriculum (knowledge of First Nations Principles and the Principles of Truth and Reconciliation). Ability to use a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet diverse learner needs in an inclusive setting. Experience integrating experiential and/or inquiry learning opportunities into the curriculum. Training and experience in teaching and supporting social and emotional learning. Proven ability to develop a positive learning environment with strong organization and classroom management skills. Commitment to and experience working collaboratively in a team setting. Commitment to and demonstrated experience using and integrating technology into the curriculum. Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community. Current, valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required. Salary as per collective agreement. Current salary grid is $49,769 - $95,681. Salary is based on TQS and prior experience. Benefits as per collective agreement with option to enroll in Dental, Extended Health, and Group Life Insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE.
