Indigenous candidates may request an exception. The role We are looking for a Plant Maintenance Systems Administrator to support our Real Property Planning and Management Branch. The incumbent shares NRC core values: Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity. Responsibilities The PM Systems Administrator will: Maintain, support, and enhance SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module, the NRC’s corporate CMMS. Ensure integrity and consistency of master data, maintenance procedures and reporting in SAP-PM. Review, verify and correct entered data, create and update equipment information, and guide users. Contribute to design and development of business principles, organizational hierarchy and equipment records. Coordinate preventive maintenance program across major sites in Western Canada and other NRC sites. Serve as SAP-PM subject matter expert, maintain data standards, and recommend best practices. Screening criteria Education College diploma in a mechanical program or a Red Seal trade certification in a field relevant to the position. Experience Significant (2–6 years) experience in identifying and monitoring maintenance activities in industrial and/or research facilities. Significant experience in implementation, support and maintenance of a CMMS, preferably SAP-PM. Experience delivering training and mentoring sessions. Asset: experience using SAP Enterprise System’s controlling and procurement modules. Condition of employment Reliability Status required; background verification over 5 years. Language Requirements English Assessment criteria Technical competencies Solid knowledge of CMMS such as SAP Plant Maintenance. Solid knowledge of HVAC equipment installed in buildings, sites, and research facilities. Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations and maintenance. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
