About the role:

We are seeking a Data Migration & ETL Specialist to support data integration, transformation, and migration projects. The ideal candidate has experience with SQL, ETL tools, scripting, and cloud environments and is familiar with data governance and security standards in the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis and profiling using SQL, Power BI, or Python (Pandas, NumPy).
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using tools like KingswaySoft, SSIS, Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
  • Manage data across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and other databases.
  • Map data fields between legacy and target systems and design relational databases.
  • Automate data validation and reconciliation tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Work with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud to manage databases and cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Ensure compliance with BC government data standards, FOIPPA, and security best practices.
  • Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data protection techniques like encryption and anonymization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing data migrations with both legacy and modern applications such as PeopleSoft, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or SAP.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and security compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with KingswaySoft for complex data migrations.
  • Previous experience working in public sector environments.
