This is an opportunity to work on creating a holistic high-scale consumer banking program, from user-facing experiences that feel magical to the tooling that powers them behind the scenes across risk, support, compliance, and more.This role demands a mix of vision, empathy, and an intuitive grasp of user needs, both today and tomorrow. You’ll dive deep into building new small- and large-scale products for personal customers, and the complexities of domestic and international banking networks, quickly uncovering issues, crafting solutions, and championing their importance across teams. Your ability to wield data with precision will be key to prioritizing and justifying a product roadmap that delivers unparalleled user experiences and integrations.Collaboration is at the heart of what you’ll do. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners to design solutions that feel effortless to users, even when the underlying systems are anything but simple. The ultimate goal? Banking services provided by Choice Financial Group, Column N.A., and Evolve Bank & Trust, Members FDIC.As part of the journey, we would expect you to:Co-own with design and engineering an ambitious product roadmap for consumer banking products - from 0→1 ideas to continuous improvements and scaling the consumer programPrioritize areas of product investment using a range of qualitative and quantitative inputs, often to make tradeoffs in a highly ambiguous environmentBe a collaborative powerhouse across Mercury, ensuring stakeholders are aligned on the vision of Personal Banking and feel joint ownership over strategy and resultsWork across product surfaces - growth, risk, and core product - and dimensions - mobile and web products - and help us tie it all togetherClearly communicate technical and non-technical product specifications for personal banking product improvements/features to enable efficiency across a wide breadth of stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to improve the consumer product experience, enabling both larger and smaller-scale projectsDrive accountability - hold yourself and others accountable in service of great workSome things that might make you successful in a role like this:7+ years of relevant product management experience in a financial technology companyExperience working on directly regulated products in the banking, insurance, wealth management, or treasury space at a growth-stage startup across a variety of different product areas (risk, growth, mobile, core banking, etc.)Be technically inclined or comfortable enough with technical concepts to produce detail-oriented requirements that enable your team to ship high-quality featuresBe able to balance a deep technical understanding of product and partner requirements with user empathyBe able to take complex problems and distill them into first principlesBe capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while keeping a high bar for execution and customer experienceThe total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity, and benefits.Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry.
