Air Conditioning Engineer

Intermediate Refrigeration Engineer – TorontoAs part of an integrated project team, this refrigeration engineer will design food & beverage, pharma, and biotech process systems. With a potential option to be located in any of our Canada-based offices, the future team member will report to the Lead Engineer.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate on the design and analysis of refrigeration plants and systems.
- Perform CAD and drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in AutoCAD.
- Perform and/or supervise drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in Revit and/or Plant3D.
- Conduct safety and code compliance audits.
- Participate in the development of refrigeration related SOPs, HAZOPS, and other safety analysis.
- Conduct site inspections of refrigeration systems.
- Write, format, and proof-read specifications, proposals, reports, templates, and other documents.
- Organize and maintain project records.
- Provide support and build relationships with new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal and external team members.
- 2-3+ years of experience in industrial refrigeration system design and analysis.
- Familiarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems.
- Knowledge of refrigeration and piping codes and standards.
- A degree or diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering or qualifications in a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in communicating effectively using technology.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Energetic and motivated problem solver.
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD software packages including Revit, Plant 3D, and P&ID is considered an asset.
