Part‑Time High School English & Social Studies Teacher/Tutor We’re looking for passionate teachers to join our team as a Part‑time high school English & Social Studies Teacher/Tutor at Oxford Learning Centres Inc. This role is ideal for anyone who enjoys working with students and loves teaching language and social studies. Become one of the first 25 applicants – only 1 day ago posts available. Position Requirements All teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (4:00 pm – 8:30 pm) as well as Saturdays (9:00 am – 1:30 pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred, and continuing through the summer is even better. The role is in‑person; you must be able to commute to the Unionville location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory. No relocation package is offered. Education Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered Teaching certification is an asset Good knowledge of the current Grade 9–12 English & social studies curriculum, including history and geography Experience Some experience teaching/tutoring English and Social Studies at a Grade 9–12 (or equivalent) level Strong English written and oral communication skills, with the ability to guide students’ understanding Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time Responsibilities (Position Details) Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Fill in post‑lesson notes Complete daily student communication updates Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times Rewards & Benefits Fun staff events Ongoing training opportunities Frequent check‑ins and feedback Company growth opportunities Hands‑on development of teaching skills Job Type & Compensation Job Type: Part‑time Salary: $19 – $21 per hour Schedule Monday to Wednesday evenings (4:00 pm – 8:30 pm) Thursday evenings & Saturday mornings (9:00 am – 1:30 pm) – backup availability Application & Contact Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Unionville area.
