Accounting Manager - 15 Month Term - $75K - $75K

Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group, Manitoba's Premier Specialized Recruitment Firm has been engaged by our client, a local organization with strong community impact. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager for a 15 month term position. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of the accounting department including managing a team of junior accountants.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare & review financial and management reporting.
  2. Produce variance analysis reports.
  3. Develop and improve upon financial performance monitoring.
  4. Provide recommendations to department leaders and executive to improve financial performance execution on key areas.
  5. Perform business case financial modeling, trend, and benchmarking analysis.
  6. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. A professional accounting designation CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)
  2. 3 - 5 years of accounting experience including ad hoc reporting, forecasting and full cycle accounting.
  3. Strong knowledge and background in financial analytics, including forecasting and budgeting.
  4. Advanced software skills including MS Excel, and/or financial planning, and reporting/dashboard tool.
  5. Proven interpersonal and communication skills to develop internal relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  6. Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
