Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry

They are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Medicinal Chemist to join their Peptide Discovery team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, synthesizing, and optimizing novel peptides for therapeutic applications. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of peptide-based drug development and contribute to the advancement of groundbreaking therapies.
Responsibilities: Design and synthesize novel peptides for drug discovery programs. Conduct structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies to optimize peptide leads. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including biochemists, pharmacologists, and computational chemists. Utilize state-of-the-art techniques and technologies in peptide chemistry. Analyze and interpret data, troubleshoot experimental challenges, and propose creative solutions. Stay current with scientific literature and contribute to intellectual property development.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field. Proven experience in peptide design, synthesis, and optimization for medicinal purposes. Strong background in modern analytical techniques, purification methods, and characterization of peptides. Experience with peptide library design and screening is highly desirable. Knowledge of structure-based drug design and computational chemistry tools is a plus. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
