The role supports the Project Controls team by monitoring financial performance, managing cost and schedule baselines, and providing analysis to keep projects on track.ResponsibilitiesWork with company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.Apply financial terminology, measures, and financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.Recognize processes and project actions that may lead to project financial impact.Develop and maintain WBS for small projects.Assist in using drawings and specifications to establish project baseline data.Begin basic analysis of cost and schedule variances.Develop knowledge of accounting principles.Assist in assembling data for trending and forecasting.Understand progress and performance data and associated concepts.Collect and analyze data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.Provide support for tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures.Support project reporting process as required.May attend project cost review meetings.Technical / Functional ExpertiseApply education, industry knowledge, technical capabilities, and experience to perform assignments.Acquire skills through education, training, and new experiences.Experiment with new approaches and share key learnings with team members.SupervisionReceive guidance and support on new assignments and begin working independently on more straight‑forward tasks.Accountability & ImpactAccountable for specific portions of a project or process with general oversight.Impact of work is typically the employee's team and other internal business areas or project teams.Complexity & Problem‑SolvingAnalyze issues and apply solutions using standard procedures and known techniques.Apply judgement within defined parameters to find the best solution.Innovation & Change AgilityProvide feedback about existing procedures and contribute to new ideas and approaches.Learn to be responsive to latest information and adapt to modified approaches when circumstances change.Communication / People SkillsExchange information on routine and non‑routine matters and build relationships across departments.People DevelopmentMay support development of less experienced colleagues.QualificationsMinimum RequirementsUniversity degree in a related discipline (e.g. project management, scheduling, engineering, construction) and four (2+) years of related experience in project controls on large capital construction projects.Preferred QualificationsChange management experience.Subcontractor management experience.Proficient in Excel.Additional InformationOffered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
