Certified Journeymen Millwright

TheCertified Journeyman Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining,troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to workindependently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. The successfulcandidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solvingskills, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install,maintain, and repair mechanical systems and industrial machinery, includingmotors, pumps, conveyors, fans, and other equipment.
Performpreventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensureoptimal performance and minimize downtime.
Read andinterpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to plan and executetasks.
Align andcalibrate machinery and equipment for proper functionality and efficiency.
Utilizeprecision measuring instruments to ensure accurate and precise installation andmaintenance.
Troubleshootand diagnose mechanical issues, proposing effective solutions for repair andmaintenance.
Work withother tradespeople, such as electricians and welders, to complete projects andensure the smooth operation of equipment.
Adhere tosafety standards and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment for yourselfand others.
Maintainaccurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and servicereports.
Assist withthe installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring proper setup andcalibration.
Qualifications:
CertifiedJourneyman Millwright designation or equivalent certification.
Provenexperience as a millwright, with a strong background in mechanical andindustrial maintenance.
Proficiencyin reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strongproblem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Proficientin the use of precision measuring tools and equipment.
Familiaritywith safety standards and regulations related to industrial maintenance.
Excellentcommunication and teamwork skills.
Ability towork independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physicalability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experiencein the mining industry or similar.
Additionalcertifications related to welding, machining, or electrical work would be anasset.
Schedule and Location:
7 days in,7 days out on rotation
