The Finance team is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join its team. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will be a key member for the Tax team. The ideal candidate will have good communication, ability to see and relay risks and strong time-management skills.
Responsabilities & Duties :
- Prepare the tax provision and corporate tax returns, including SR&ED and other tax credits claims
- Prepare tax forms, such as: T106, T1134, T1135, T2054, T2057, NR4, T4A-NR, T5, GST/QST returns, etc.
- Prepare and maintain relevant tax balances and calculations, such as: safe income, tax surplus, ACB, CDA, etc.
- Review commercial contracts to assess tax risks
- Coordinate tax audits with authorities;
- Coordinate and follow-up on the Company’s tax instalments;
- Participate in the preparation of transfer pricing contemporaneous documentation;
- Keep track of changes to existing tax laws and regulations;
- Conduct tax research and analysis on significant tax positions in order to properly manage the related tax risks;
- Collaborate and support the Tax team on contemplated projects, such as: acquisitions, tax planning, restructurings, etc.
- Other duties as assigned/required.
- Effective oral and written communication skills (French and English)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Environment, Excel & PowerPoint
- Autonomous, responsible, and resourceful individual
- Must be able to manage and follow all tax files in progress with diligence and professionalism
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Collaborative mindset; driven towards solutions
Master or better.
ExperienceRequiredBachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Accounting combined with a CPA designation
3-5 years:3-5 years: Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in tax
PreferredA Master’s Degree in Tax or completion of the CPA Canada's In-depth tax program is an asset
