Job Description Oracle seeks a software engineer to join our team of talented professionals who are revolutionizing the delivery of Cloud Services and AI Infrastructure to the world’s most critical organizations. The SaaS Engineering team manages all enterprise software services on behalf of our 25,000 customers, processing over 60 billion daily transactions. Within the SaaS Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and building multiple tools and solutions designed to improve the reliability, resiliency, performance, operability, monitoring, and efficiency of the SaaS product portfolio. You will partner closely with peers and leaders in software development and customer support to create new Oracle internal toolsets and deploy them across applications on the Oracle Cloud. We are looking for a software developer in Montreal who can do full‑stack development. The full‑time position requires the employee to be present at the office a minimum of three days a week with the remaining work from home. As a member of the dev team, you will partner with others in Montreal and around the world to implement solutions within a distributed computing environment, collaborate to ensure systems under development are aligned with other systems, and support operations for the systems that our team owns. You should have experience building both backend systems and front‑end JavaScript‑based UIs, building REST APIs, and integrating with other services. The candidate must be technically strong, with good experience with Java, Python, and some knowledge of emerging AI technologies. They should be enthusiastic, passionate about learning new things, and self‑motivated. Responsibilities As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the development, design, and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Qualifications Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Professional experience: 6+ years of experience in software development environments. Salary Range (Montreal): CAD $76,700 – $167,600 per year. Knowledge of English is required. Proficiency in French is required for candidates residing in Quebec, otherwise it is considered an asset.
