Sky Sight Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented individual for the firm's Senior Architectural Technologist role (Full-time, Permanent). As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will work on a variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, coordinate, and manage architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and CAD software.
  2. Collaborate with team members to create accurate and detailed design solutions.
  3. Ensure adherence to local building codes, industry standards, and client requirements.
  4. Provide mentorship, supervision, and technical support to technologists and other team members, as required.
  5. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve design and technical challenges.
  6. Maintain and update project files, libraries, and templates.

Requirements:

  1. An accredited Diploma (or Degree) in Architecture or Architectural Technology.
  2. Completion of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) Examinations: House, Small Buildings, and Legal.
  3. Minimum of 5+ years industry experience at an Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) firm working with the Ontario Building Code (OBC).
  4. Expert knowledge and high proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM).
  5. Experience preparing highly-detailed construction documentation for single and multi-family residential dwellings, as well as small-scale commercial and mixed-use projects.
  6. Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) parts 3 & 9 and construction detailing.
  7. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, File Management, and Project Management tools.
  8. Excellent communication and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  9. Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends, if required).

Assets:

  1. Current member of Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO) and/or Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) Licensed Technologist.
  2. Experience in photorealistic 3D Rendering using Epic Games Twinmotion.
  3. Experience with Autodesk AEC Collection (AutoCAD, ReCap Pro, Navisworks, Civil3D, etc.).
  4. Experience working with LiDAR point cloud data and 3D photogrammetry models (reality capture) of buildings and sites.
  5. Experience conducting site visits.
  6. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.

Compensation and Benefits:
