Senior Data Analytics Lead

Join to apply for the Senior Data Analytics Lead role at Adastra Overview The Data & Analytics team within a large sporting organization is seeking a Data Product Owner with experience building data products from the ground up. This role will be instrumental in driving fan growth and engagement as we expand the league globally, supporting our international business. The leader will partner with stakeholders across the league and clubs to define strategy and execution roadmap delivering data products that drive business outcomes. Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (Remote) Status: Contract Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the D&A vision/roadmap and steer cross‑functional pods in delivering data products to support analytics and BI Steward the league’s international data assets, maximizing utilization to support business outcomes Work in an agile environment: continuously review business needs, prioritize and maintain the backlog, refine roadmaps, plan sprints and identify opportunities and risks Provide hands‑on leadership in facilitating design sessions and drive decision‑making while balancing short‑term benefits with long‑term strategic outlook Support pods in clarifying requirements and features alongside DoD and acceptance criteria Partner with engineering leaders to balance product feature delivery against platform foundational capabilities that drive scalability and resilience Build a culture of learning, knowledge sharing and high performance; assign tasks based on skill, strength and development needs of pod members Advocate for the highest standards of technical and operational excellence, ensuring scalable and repeatable capabilities are built effectively Qualifications, Skills & Experience University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field 8+ years of relevant experience in a product owner, delivery lead or team lead capacity 5+ years of leading development of data products, cloud data platforms, data lakes or data warehouses Proven track record of delivering impactful products to market, enabling stakeholder use cases Vast experience in software development life cycle, agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban Excellent knowledge of Jira and Confluence Strong detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills Ability to effectively liaise with all levels across the organization A team player and self‑starter About Adastra At Adastra, we transform the Data & Analytics space by providing cutting‑edge AI, Big Data, Cloud, Digital and Governance services.
