Concrete Superintendent

Responsibilities:

• Supervise contractors to ensure finishing works meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for timely and quality completion of mid-rise and townhouse finishing works.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify finishing quality aligns with project standards.
• Review drawings and submittals for compliance with project specifications.
• Maintain updated "as built" drawings for mid-rise and townhouse projects.
• Compile and submit project closeout documents, including O&M manuals and warranties.
• Halt work if safety or quality concerns arise, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Prepare daily job diaries to document project progress.
• Monitor on-site operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and resolve issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with the project team to address and resolve design discrepancies effectively.

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a construction-related field.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario Building Code, local regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and construction management software like Microsoft Project.
• Leadership and team management skills to oversee contractors and subcontractors.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite for reporting and documentation.
