The opportunity
As a Senior Tax Staff, you will be a part of our Transfer Pricing team and broadly as part of our International Tax & Transactions Services group. You will work alongside a team of dedicated transfer pricing economists and tax professionals to provide a fully integrated approach to transfer pricing, which includes preparing annual documentation, defending transfer pricing results in tax audits, designing transfer pricing policies, and advising multinational enterprises on how to streamline and automate their transfer pricing processes.
By joining EY Tax, you will be able to use and further develop technical transfer pricing expertise through our worldwide network of dedicated professionals and the critical skills required of a well-rounded transfer pricing consultant.
Your key responsibilities
Senior Tax Staff in our Transfer Pricing practice actively participate in various challenging engagements and deliver quality transfer pricing services to our diverse portfolio of clients. Core elements of the role include:
- Demonstrating a good understanding of economic, finance, and accounting principles and effectively applying such knowledge to client engagements, including the preparation of documentation, advanced pricing submissions, audit defence materials, and planning documents.
- Delivering quality services and work products in a timely and responsive manner, including thoroughly and accurately analyzing factual and financial information to generate insights and arriving at logical conclusions.
- Assisting with and overseeing the preparation of high quality, practical approaches to clients' situations.
- Demonstrating versatility and adaptability to various management styles and different types of projects.
- Presenting the results of your work to small groups of colleagues or client personnel.
- Performing and reviewing industry, company and other research as needed.
- Participating in and contributing to achieving team goals.
- Delegating and overseeing work performed by onshore and offshore junior team members.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- A post secondary degree in economics, accounting, finance, business or a related field, or a professional designation.
- Two or more years relevant experience, ideally gained in a professional services firm.
- Experience in transfer pricing is essential.
- The ability to thrive within a fast-paced, professional services environment requiring multi-tasking and frequent collaboration with colleagues and clients.
- The capacity to quickly understand fast-moving situations.
- The ability to coach and guide junior team members as well as effectively manage projects.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
What we look for
We're interested in strong team players who support their colleagues in reaching their goals while also considering their own workload and development. We're looking for people with a genuine passion for tax, and the future of tax, and are inspired to help the world's leading multinational organizations meet complex tax obligations around the world. If you have the confidence to speak up and influence a team that affects big businesses worldwide, this role is for you.
