This opportunity is within Good Shepherd – Women's Services – Mary's Place/West Ave. How You Will Make An Impact Provide brief mobile case management and diversion services to individuals at imminent risk of homelessness, aiming to help them avoid emergency shelter. Collaborate with shelter staff to complete assessments for shelter eligibility, plan intakes, and make referrals to overflow spaces. Partner with agencies to leverage and coordinate assets and services, ensuring service users receive personalized housing and support. Work in the office, emergency shelters, and community settings. Accompany service users to community and housing appointments and apartment viewings. Assist service users in a hands‑on capacity as needed. Observe all health and safety rules and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations. What You'll Bring To Our Team Post‑secondary education in Social Services or a related field. Minimum 1 year of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Preferably 1 year of experience in community outreach or an emergency shelter setting. Strong understanding of person‑directed, anti‑racism/anti‑oppression, and feminist frameworks, including chronic homelessness, poverty, abuse, mental health, and addictions. Commitment to trauma‑informed, harm‑reduction, and housing‑first frameworks. Excellent interpersonal and conflict‑resolution skills, verbal and written communication, time management, and organizational abilities. Ability to work cooperatively within an interdisciplinary team. CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification. Valid G licence and willingness to drive a company vehicle.
