Join the Island Gold District team and be a part of the long-life mining operations, as we prioritize our employee growth, high performance and a culture of safety and accountability.Role Overview/Purpose: Responsible for managing issuing of materials through reservations, counter service and month end procedures for mill and surface/underground departments. Ensuring receiving, inventory counts, and shipping of items are performed efficiently and accurately according to policies and regulations. Lead and mentor team as required. The Warehouse Technicians and Runners will report directly to this Warehouse Lead HandResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:Coordinate duties to ensure that material flows from warehouse to end users for all departments. Stock is transferred to underground and/or other storage locations as required.Manage daily reservations requests and escalate any shortages to buyer/expedite to follow up on delivery datesCataloguing of spare parts and consumable items in SAPCoordinate stock transfers to warehouse locations.Coordinate work for Warehouse Technicians and Runners as required.Assist with all inventory counts as requiredAssist, when possible, with daily unloading of trucks with forklift and receiving items.Coordinate repairs to be shipped out for repairs or warrantyRecognizes areas of improvement and offers suggestions for continuous improvementAssist with special projects in the warehouse as required.Qualifications IncludeSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:High-school graduation with related post-secondary trainingMinimum of 3-5 years of related experience,Knowledge of shipping and warehouse procedures and regulations requiredTransportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate requiredKnowledge of mining equipment and parts preferredMust be able to operate forklifts or other equipment as required.Highly organized with exception attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, growing work environment.Excellent inter-personal skills together with an ability to facilitate commitment to a cooperative team effort.Good communication skills, both orally and written with both internal and external contacts and the ability to work with all levels of the organization.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs is required.Good leadership skills are required.Rotation: 7 on / 7 off – Rotating day and nights.
