Join to apply for the Legal Counsel role at Aramark Canada. Reporting to the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Canada, the incumbent will provide legal expertise, guidance, and counseling to Aramark's business units across Canada. The primary focus is on supporting the company's Remote business, with additional support to sales, operations, human resources, finance, and information technology groups. The role also involves collaborating with legal counsel in the United States and internationally as required. Responsibilities Provide primary legal support for the Remote Business, including the creation and maintenance of Indigenous relationships and services provided in local communities. Negotiate, draft, and advise on partnership structures, joint venture agreements, service and supplier contracts, and other commercial documents with Indigenous communities. Advise on RFP responses and prepare written responses to legal agreements as needed. Review agreements and advise on the legal position relative to issues raised by Remote or functional business leads. Provide legal support for the growth and maintenance of other lines of business and related supply chain services, including negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements. Offer counsel on employment law, health and safety compliance, corporate policy review, and other regulatory matters. Support acquisitions through due diligence, drafting letters of intent, negotiating transaction documents, and advising on integration matters. Qualifications Excellent academic credentials from a post-secondary educational institution. Minimum 1–4 years of experience in a top law firm or sophisticated corporate legal department. Experience or interest in transactions supporting Indigenous communities. Experience handling complex commercial legal matters. Law degree and current qualification to practice in Canada.
