This role will lead and direct the energy working group and employees to increase energy awareness while maintaining the energy management plan and sites energy budget.The roster will be 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off (9.5 hours). This is a local residential role. We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure and future growth.Key result areasImplement the site wide Energy Management PlanManage the Northern Energy Advantage Program (NEAP) requirements including quarterly and annual reportingPrepare and maintain the annual Energy BudgetIdentify energy efficient programs and submit applications for large projectsSupport operation teams in implementing no and low-cost energy initiativesLead and direct the Energy Working Group to identify improvement opportunities while creating an action plan to implement improvementsMaintain a database to track energy consumption based on processStay up to date on regulatory developments and market conditions and or trendsExploring and researching energy savings and greenhouse gas reduction trends/technologies and their potential applicationsPerform other duties as assigned.About youAs the Energy Specialist, you will be eligible for a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) designation and hold a Secondary Degree/Diploma or trade certification in related field.It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:Demonstrated expertise in energy conservation practices in an industrial or mining settingExperience and familiarity with electrical and mechanical systemsKnowledge of energy management topics include peak demand reduction strategies, change management, strategic and energy management.Advanced analytical skillsAdvanced knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCad and RETScreenInitiative and maturity to analyze and solve problemsExcellent interpersonal and influencing skillsStrong attention to detail.At Evolution, as our name suggests, change and transformation is in our DNA.
