As a short‑form Video Editor, you will transform raw talking‑head footage into captivating, fast‑paced videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts. You will work closely with Creative Directors to bring each client’s brand voice to life across multiple platforms. This role combines creative storytelling, technical excellence, and a deep understanding of short‑form performance. You will help produce content designed to educate, entertain, and go viral. These reels will be seen by millions each month.ResponsibilitiesContent Editing & Production: Edit raw footage into highly engaging short‑form videos that capture attention immediately and sustain retention. Use pacing, captions, sound design, motion graphics, and jump cuts to maximize performance.Creative Collaboration: Work with Creative Directors to ensure all edits align with brand positioning, storytelling tone, and visual identity.Organization & Workflow: Keep project files organized, communicate clearly with the team, and meet multiple editing deadlines without compromising quality.Performance & Growth: Track performance data, monitor platform trends, and test new editing styles and formats to keep Genesis Media content ahead of the curve.Requirements3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally with creators or agencies.Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; After Effects or DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus.Strong visual sense and ability to design engaging hooks, subtitles, and layouts.Working knowledge of sound design, transitions, and motion graphics.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Ability to work quickly while maintaining precision and creativity.A portfolio that demonstrates strong short‑form storytelling and editing expertise (required).ResultsConsistent delivery of on‑brand, high‑retention short‑form videos across client accounts.Clear and efficient editing systems that support team collaboration and speed.Continuous improvement in metrics such as views, engagement rate, and watch time.Positive creative impact that strengthens both the client’s brand and Genesis Media’s reputation for excellence.ScheduleFull‑time.
