Health Data and Impact Analyst

Who we need Education Undergraduatedegree ina relevant subject (e.g., epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics)or equivalentat minimum –Master’spreferred. Experience 3-5 years of experience in a statistical / data analysis role in a health or health innovation setting (i.e., health research, non-profit health organization, public health, health planningorganizationor institution). Experience in data cleaning, manipulation and analysis using R or Python. Experience with SAS is an asset. Experience building interactive data visualizations using Business Intelligence Tools such as Power BI for key performance measurement tracking andimpactreporting. Hands on experience producing data analysis products for a variety of audiences including data tables, charts / figures, reports, and presentations. Experience supporting data governance,data privacy, data security, data quality management,anddatadocumentation processes(e.g.metadata). Experience conducting scientific literature reviews and knowledge synthesis is an asset. Experience working with reference management software (e.g.Zotero or EndNote) is an asset. Knowledge or experience in cardiovascular health orresearchfield is an asset. Experience collaborating with researchers, policymakers,decision-makers,and health system stakeholdersto translate data into actionable insights. Skills Team oriented,outcome-based mindset,collaborative, diplomatic, and flexibleand agile, withstrong oral and writing capabilities. Good organization, time management, attention todetailand the driveto workand deliverin a fast-paced environment with multiple urgent priorities. Ability to apply good judgement anddemonstrateinitiative to resolve and communicate issues. Strong interpersonal communication skillsto work cross-functionally with teams from different departments working together towards shared goals or deliverables. Capability to test ideasandnew approachestolearn from results and iterate with the outcome in mind. Ability to adapt quickly to changes andnew informationand dedication to enhancing processes and outcomes over time. Promotes continuous improvement and innovative approaches to achieve outcomes. Advancedproficiencyin manipulating and analyzing data using R or Python. Strong skills in the analysis of quantitative health data and including statistical methods for risk adjustment / standardization, survey data (e.g., weighting, non-responseadjustmentand imputation), forecasting. Understanding of health and health services research concepts (e.g., quality of care indicators) and knowledge of the Canadian health data landscape. (e.g.CIHI, Statistics Canada data sets). Knowledge of ICD coding is an asset. Strong computer skillsand ability to use technological tools to organize and advance the work of the team (i.e., MS Office Suite, SharePoint,BigQuery,JIRAand other workflow tools). Advancedproficiencyin Excel (i.e.VBA coding, macro, pivot table). In-depth understanding of data analysis documentation and data quality management. Ability to think flexibly and find solutions for automating workflows and storing and manipulating data. Strong critical thinking skills and some experience or knowledge of use cases of AI in data analysis and knowledge synthesis functions is an asset. Proficiencyin English is essential and French languageproficiencyis anasset.
