As an Actuarial Analyst II, you will focus on delivering high-quality actuarial analyses to achieve business objectives. Reporting to the Actuarial Manager, the Actuarial Analyst II is expected to demonstrate strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate with other team members to deliver impactful analysis that align with the team's strategic direction.ResponsibilitiesRegional Auto (ON, QC, WP) or Residential PricingUpdate pricing algorithm to support business objectives toward profitability and growthDevelop and execute strategies to accelerate profitable growthPrepare filing documentation and support to regulatory bodies, where requiredPricing OptimizationBuild and apply models and optimization techniques to recommend premium adjustmentsTrack the performance of deployed strategiesFinancial PerformancePerform financial tracking of pricing strategies, comparing projections to actual resultsContribute to the ongoing improvements of financial tracking processesRisk Sharing Pool (RSP) Strategy and PerformanceAssist in centralizing and optimizing RSP cession strategy at a national levelSupport the achievement of financial objectives for each poolAnalyze cession results and pool performancePrivate Client Advice (PCA)Track and monitor profitability of the PCA Book of business to support pricing decisionsAssist in calculating premiums for special coverage needs and more complex risksAffinity Market Group (AMG)Review and update group discounts to support affinity-related pricing and business objectivesMonitor affinity group profitability to inform pricing decisionsReview and update profit-sharing strategies to support AMG regulatory and contractual requirementsInitiatives & GovernanceSupport internal product and pricing initiatives from the initial business case to rate filingsContribute to the development of our Bias and Fairness pillar to ensure our pricing strategies reflect these principlesJob RequirementsUniversity degree in Actuarial Science or related field3+ years of related experienceExcellent knowledge of ExcelProficiency and interest for programming, notably with SQL and RStrong aptitude for team workAutonomous and resilient; shows initiative and creativity in their workPreferred QualificationsPrior experience with predictive modelingWorking toward ACIA/ACAS designationWho We AreAs part of TD Bank Group, one of Canada's largest financial institutions, at TD Insurance, we care for Canadian families, making it easy to get the best advice, protection, and support in their moments of need, always.TD Insurance offers a wide range of products, including General Insurance and Life and Health.
