Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Pathology residency programs. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. On site – Work must be completed at the physical location. No remote option. Work setting: Hospital (staff position) Willing to relocate (Rural area) Relocation costs covered by employer. Responsibilities Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods. Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens. Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases. Supervise laboratory activities. Act as consultant to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Supervision Supervises 16‑20 people. Credentials Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II). Specialty residency training. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Experience and Specialization Specialization in laboratory medicine – Anatomical pathology, General pathology. Additional Information Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast‑paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, physically demanding, attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination.
