Locum Consultant General Medicine – Boarders Team Join to apply for the Locum Consultant General Medicine – Boarders Team role at NHS Scotland Applications are invited for this locum Consultant Physician post which will be based at QEUH. The successful candidate will join an established consultant physician and medical team to provide a full range of consultant services predominantly to patients boarded from medical specialties to outlying areas on the QE site. The shift pattern for this post is 40 hours per week over 7 days / on call commitment. This is a Fixed term post for 1 year. Responsibilities: Provide a full range of consultant services predominantly to patients boarded from medical specialties to outlying areas on the QE site. Provide two specialty sessions per week to be agreed according to speciality experience. Some flexibility in timing of sessions, taking into account Bank Holidays, prospective cover in colleagues’ absence, and occurrence of receiving ward rounds, will be required. Qualifications: MRCP, full GMC registration and a licence to practise. For UK trained candidates: evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in General Internal Medicine or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview. Accreditation in GIM would be preferred. For non-UK applicants: demonstrate equivalent training.
