Description

The Role
Reporting to the general supervisor, maintenance, in the maintenance engineering department, your knowledge of mechanical equipment and design will be relied upon to support surface operations in a mining/milling environment.

In this role, you will:

  1. Solve complex technical problems using formal techniques to evaluate systems, equipment and failures
  2. Maximize equipment availability, reliability and performance through effective problem solving and proactive maintenance practices
  3. Develop and refine asset specific strategies to improve equipment health and to prevent or eliminate equipment failure
  4. Provide design and drafting support for new or modified site equipment, process changes, and electrical drawings
  5. Compile data and prepare technical reports or coordinate technical reporting as required for regulatory submission

Required:
- B. Eng or Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science
- Four to eight years of relevant industry experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will also be considered
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng) designation
- Eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft

Recommended:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering
- May consider a mechanical technologist background
- Exposure to predictive maintenance techniques and technologies
- Experience in a mining/milling environment
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems, preference for SAP experience
- Experience with planning and scheduling activities
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
