At New School Foods, our mission is to accelerate the transition to a sustainable food system. Using our proprietary and purpose-built production technologies, we are creating the next generation of meat and seafood alternatives, which are designed to appeal to the average consumer. Our first product is a delicious plant-based filet that looks, cooks, tastes and flakes like Salmon, that's full of Omega 3' and protein. All with a lower carbon footprint, zero mercury, and made without harming the ocean.

Position Overview

As our Supply Chain Associate, you will play a critical role in building out our supply chain processes. Our ideal candidate is analytical and strategic but easily adaptable to changing priorities. They are eager to dive deep in and find new ways to streamline our processes. This is an opportunity to use your skills and experience to help build the foundations for our scaling operations.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Manufacturing

  1. Assist the development of our manufacturing processes including vendor management, supply chain, procurement etc.
  2. Identify blind spots in our processes and own new initiatives.
  3. Support our customers with sales requests, feedback, and updates to the product.
  4. Identify and execute on strategic projects that you feel will create value for the company.
  5. Track key metrics to help make data-driven decisions.
  6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations across all projects.

People and Culture

  1. Contribute to a culture of safety and cleanliness.
  2. Create open lines of communication with each team member to collect feedback and enhance how we work.
Qualifications
  1. 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in supply chain, operations or other execution focused roles.
  2. Experience in startups and fast-paced environments is a strong plus.
  3. Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
