Position Summary Interior Health is seeking a dedicated Casual Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital, located in Williams Lake.

Shift types include rotating day shifts.

Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and shifts can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

What Will You Work On? Pharmacists are at the forefront of healthcare, providing essential pharmacy services. Duties include interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing therapeutic suitability, and ensuring medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed, compounded, and labeled.

You will communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to resolve prescription issues, offer instructions on medication use, and participate in medication use evaluations, safety initiatives, quality control activities, and clinical drug trials. You will also ensure all activities comply with legal, professional, and departmental standards.

About This Location: Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) located in Williams Lake, is a 31-bed community hospital serving Williams Lake and surrounding communities. CMH emergency department operates 24/7 handling over 21,000 visits per year, in addition to offering a range of acute care specialties and allied health services. As the largest and fastest growing city in the area, Williams Lake serves as a business, industrial, and service hub for many outlying communities. Outdoor recreation enthusiasts are drawn to the area’s natural amenities. World-class mountain bike trails, miles of hiking and skiing terrain, and hundreds of lakes for kayaking, rafting, boating, fishing, and camping. Qualfications • Current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia; and • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
