We believe in the pursuit of better — not just in cloud-native app development, but in creating real impact for our clients and their customers.Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced Data & AI Engineer (Contract) to support the execution of our packaged QuickStarts, particularly those focused on GenAI (LLM Ops) and Data Lake architecture.In this role, you will lead the development and deployment of scalable, production-ready AI/ML solutions built on AWS-native technologies. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, consulting environment and is comfortable navigating ambiguity while delivering for clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and deploy LLM-based APIs using Amazon Bedrock (Claude, Titan, Nova, Cohere, etc.)Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using OpenSearch and S3Build data pipelines for curated and raw data layers using AWS Glue, Athena, and Lake FormationSupport real-time reporting and AI usage dashboards via Amazon QuickSightDesign serverless workflows using AWS Lambda and manage prompt metadata with DynamoDBImplement prompt orchestration strategies, including fallback handling, versioning, and safety guardrailsCollaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps to align AI/ML delivery with client goalsDocument solutions clearly and support onboarding and handoff to client teamsStay current with AWS innovations in GenAI, MLOps, and data platform best practicesNote: This description summarizes typical functions and does not list every possible task or responsibility.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or related field5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-based ML or GenAI systemsDeep hands‑on experience with AWS AI/ML services: Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, Lake Formation, OpenSearch, and QuickSightExperience with retrieval-augmented generation, prompt orchestration, or LLMOps workflows preferredFamiliarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and Git-based workflowsExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex systems to both technical and business stakeholdersLocation: Remote – CanadaDuration: Project basedCompensation: Competitive hourly or project-based rate (commensurate with experience)Equal Opportunity EmploymentAt RevStar, we don’t just accept differences — we celebrate them, we support them, and we thrive on them for the benefit of our employees, our customers, and our community.
