The HVAC & Gas Technician, reporting to the Account Director, is responsible for implementing and documenting an effective preventive maintenance program that maintains all systems in a good working condition at the Canadian Forces Base in Thunder Bay. Responsibilities Maintaining Chillers, Cooling Towers, RTU, AHU, Gas and air conditioning units Maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, including filter changes and coil cleaning Replacing belts, pulleys, bearings, pump seals and associated assemblies, combustion test, balancing and adjusting Responding to reactive maintenance calls to equipment Participate in educational programs, in-service training and attend meetings as required Communicate the work status with the client groups via central call center within the time frame given in response time policy Benefits Be part of an industry that's more important than ever Career advancement opportunities. Qualifications Current Refrigeration and Air Conditioning System’s Mechanic Certificate 313A Class G1 Gas Fitter Certificate, TSSA, and OPD. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract Possess or be able to acquire Reliability Clearance Status within CISD Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; French would be an asset Computer literate and familiar with MS Word, Excel and database CMMS and BAS experience is beneficial Ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance crawl and reach for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
