Anne, Manitoba Requisition ID: 390932Position Number: 109-71230-N253-02Posting End Date: November 5, 2025Employment arrangement: In PersonDaily hours: 7.75Anticipated shift: Days; Evenings; Nights; WeekendsSalary: $22.01 - $26.03 per hour Position Overview Under the leadership and direction of the Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse as team leaders, the Health Care Aide (HCA) provides support and assistance to residents/patients in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as identified in the care plan. The HCA works within full scope of practice and engages in education and certifications to maintain competency. Person-centered care is provided according to established standards of practice, including Accreditation Canada Standards, Personal Care Home Standards, and legislative requirements. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods. The position supports the mission, vision, values, and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud. Experience One to two (1-2) years' experience working in a health care setting preferred. One to two (1-2) years' experience caring for elderly or disabled clients preferred. Qualifications And Skills Proficiency in both official languages (English/French). Knowledge of confidentiality/privacy requirements following the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA). Knowledge of Workplace safety requirements following WHMIS. Knowledge of Violence Prevention Program (VPP) training and processes. Knowledge of SCHIPP training and processes. Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload. Teamwork and seek assistance when needed. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to interact well with others. Willingness to work in stressful environments with aggressive or agitated individuals. Respect and promote cultural diversity. Respect confidentiality in all formats. Good work and attendance record.
