CSN Brimell is a preferred shop for most major insurance companies. Summary The Parts and Production Coordinator ensures efficient operation of the collision repair facility by managing parts logistics and overseeing the production process from start to finish. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across multiple departments. The coordinator ensures parts availability, smooth operations, and meeting production targets. Primary Objectives Of The Role Parts Management Assist estimators with parts sourcing, pricing, and availability confirmation Receive, inspect, and verify parts orders from vendors, ensuring correct quantities and undamaged shipments Sign for deliveries and promptly enter parts into the management system Match parts to disassembled components or reference photos for accuracy Organize and label parts with repair order information for easy tracking and retrieval Monitor and track outstanding parts orders, updating ETA and backorders Process and track returns and credits for incorrect or defective parts Maintain an organized and safe parts storage area in compliance with health and safety standards Production Coordination Oversee the repair process from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient workflow Maintain urgency regarding completion targets and changing priorities Distribute work among technicians to maximize efficiency and track productivity Plan and prepare for scheduled repairs, ensuring necessary parts, paint codes, and equipment are ready in advance Conduct regular production meetings to review WIP, set expectations, and communicate priorities Work closely with estimators and technicians to resolve issues and minimize production delays Monitor shop cleanliness and dispose of waste materials according to policies Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines, including WHMIS and PIPEDA compliance Arrange sublet services for additional repair needs such as calibrations, tinting, PDR, and alignments Assist in scheduling and balancing workloads to maintain shop efficiency Maintain communication with front‑end staff to ensure accurate updates for customers and insurance providers Requirements Job Related Functional Technical Knowledge Utilize Mitchell Connect and Audatex software Understand the repair process flow in the shop In‑depth knowledge of OEM procedures In‑depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines Qualifications, Experience, and Other Requirements Minimum 1‑3 years of experience in an automotive or collision repair setting Strong understanding of inventory management and automotive parts logistics Familiarity with repair management systems (e.g., Summit, Mitchell, Audatex) is an asset Knowledge of insurance Direct Repair Programs and guidelines I‑CAR training or certification is an asset Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) Valid ‘G’ Class (or equivalent) driver’s license with a clean abstract Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally Personal Attributes Organizational skills/time management: Strong planning and organizational skills, meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously Communication style: Tactful, clear, and empathetic communicator with excellent verbal and written skills in English (French if required) Collaboration: Able to manage relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, applying diplomacy to reach win‑win resolutions Problem solving: Critical thinking approach to problem solving and forward thinking Flexible thinking: Considers problems from new perspectives and can expand on colleagues’ solutions Independent: Self‑motivated, thriving in a fast‑paced environment, works independently without close supervision Conflict management: Frames discussions positively, resolves conflict, and minimizes tension On-the-Job Exposure to the following elements Fumes Dirt Chemicals/Toxins Hazards Heat/Cold Noise Benefits Competitive compensation plans Collaborative team dynamic and family‑like atmosphere Supportive work environment Health and wellness initiatives Community involvement activities Exciting company events Employee purchase plans and company discounts Schedule Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Your professional journey is more than a series of job titles and responsibilities.
