Ideally looking for an experienced Lead Database Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations of our database environment and join a vibrant and dynamic team of Database Administrators reporting directly to the DBA Manager, this role will focus on ensuring database performance, availability, security, and scalability to support mission-critical business applications.ResponsibilitiesInstall, Administer, monitor, and optimize enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or cloud platforms).Oversee database security, compliance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.Partner with developers, architects, and IT teams to support application design and performance needs.Drive process improvements, automation, and adoption of new technologies.Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide escalation support.What You Need To SucceedBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.5+ years of DBA experience, with at least 2 years in a lead role.Exceptional proficiency in ORACLE and MS SQL.Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and high availability.Experience with cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) preferred.Excellent problem-solving, and communication skillsOne last thingOpenText is more than just a corporation, it\'s a global community where trust is foundational, the bar is raised, and outcomes are owned.
