Base pay range CA$110,000.00/yr - CA$150,000.00/yr Title: Senior Full Stack Engineer Salary: $120K - $150K CAD + Bonus + Equity Industry: FinTech / Capital Markets Location: Remote – Toronto, Canada Summary: Our client is a private equity-backed fintech transforming how financial institutions manage risk and derivatives. Their award-winning cloud platform integrates trade analysis, risk management, and workflow automation across interest rate, FX, and commodity products, serving over 250 financial institutions including banks, credit unions, hedge funds, and asset managers. They are seeking a senior Full Stack Engineer to join their stream-aligned development teams. This is a high-impact technical role requiring expertise in building scalable, maintainable systems on a modern SaaS platform. You will work closely with team leads to develop, document, and promote reference products while championing engineering excellence and best practices. Work with a modern tech stack leveraging microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native patterns. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones in a truly international environment. Shape engineering standards and mentor other developers while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. Fully remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere in Canada, with preference for Ontario-based candidates. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy full-stack features for the company's SaaS platform using C# and .NET technologies. Collaborate with team leads and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Build and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend systems following Domain Driven Design and SOA principles. Implement automated testing strategies including unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end testing frameworks. Design and optimize database schemas across relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB). Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure as code initiatives. Document architectural patterns, technical decisions, and reference implementations to promote knowledge sharing. Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance. Champion agile software development practices and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Experience & Skills: 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong C# expertise. Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience. Excellent knowledge of ASP.NET, MVC, and ORM frameworks. Proven experience with Domain Driven Design, SOA, and microservices architecture patterns. Strong understanding of CI/CD patterns and practices with hands‑on implementation experience. Solid foundation in automated testing techniques across the testing pyramid. Experience designing and developing with both relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB). Track record of mentoring and guiding other developers in a collaborative environment. Self‑motivated with strong organizational skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote‑first environment. Comfortable working with international teams across multiple time zones. Additional Skills (Nice to Have): Experience with advanced patterns including CQRS, Event Sourcing, and Event-Based Architecture. Web UI development using .NET Blazor framework. Container orchestration experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies. Infrastructure as code expertise using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi. Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
