This hybrid role is based out of our Toronto office.What we\'re looking forWe’re hiring a Junior Videographer & Content Creator who will support the production of high-quality video and social media content. This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.What you\'d be doing in this roleCollaborate with and support Senior Videographer & Editor on new projects, ideation, production sites and various tasksResponsible for shooting and editing video content for web and social media across all channels and departments of the company at an intermediate levelCreate video content optimized for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Meta, etc.)Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuityEdit captured video to tell concise, visually pleasing storiesInput music, dialogues, graphics, effects, and insert closed captioning or other on-screen text into a videoSupport lead videographers and producers on set with equipment setup, breakdown, and troubleshootingMaintain a clean, organized, and safe studio environment, including proper storage of gear and propsManage studio bookings, prep the space for shoots, and reset the space post-shootStrong understanding of current trends in the content creation industry (for social media, advertising, etc.)Coordinate alignment with other departments (Social Media, Brand, and others) on project objectives and requirementsSkills and qualifications1–2 years of experience in video production, either freelance or in-houseProficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Premiere Pro); After Effects knowledge is a bonusProficient in other editing software (Resolve, Premier Pro, etc.)Experience creating social media content for brands and/or influencers; beauty or skincare brands are a plusExperience creating short-form video or film projectsProficiency with video equipment, including DSLRs, professional cameras, lighting, and audio gearAbility to use software with Generative AI tools for agile concepting and ideation is a nice assetWhat you’ll be gaining by joining our teamGenerous vacation and personal days, with additional time off for volunteering, voting, birthday celebrations, and moreWork from anywhere up to 4 weeks per yearHybrid work model (for applicable roles)Summer Fridays – early release in summer (for applicable roles)Employee Assistance Program with mental health care and mindfulness resourcesDevelopment grants and LinkedIn Learning membershipDiscount on DECIEM products for you, your family, and friendsBuilding Growth to Power GoodWe are a people-first company guided by core values: Do the right thing; Create impact; Respect small things; Care too much; Be the futureSustainability and social impactDECIEM prioritizes people, animals, and the Earth, with a sustainability strategy focused on climate action, waste management, responsible packaging and sourcing, product lifecycle, and water conservation.
