The incumbent ensures daily meal production follows specifications and quantities while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Package take-out foodPortion and wrap foodsPrepare, heat and finish simple food itemsStock refrigerators and salad barsUse manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffsClean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipmentReceive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areasWash, peel and cut vegetables and fruitMust haves:Minimum 3 years’ commercial kitchen operations and some baking experienceMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to pass a background check for airport security clearanceMust have a valid Driver’s License and be comfortable operating a cube vanFood Safe Level 1 certification considered an assetMust be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident or show proof of right to work in CanadaReady to join us?Submit your resume and cover letter explaining why you are an ideal fit for the roleIf selected, we'll reach out within 10 days for a brief introductory callSuccessful candidates will then proceed to an interview with our Recruiter and Hiring ManagerWe aim to make final decisions within 14 days of the initial callAt Air North, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible workplace.
