Maintenance Area Lead

Maintenance Supervisor Georgia‑Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) manufacturing site in Englehart, Ontario. The role will lead and support reliability initiatives within the facility, working with internal and external resources (OE suppliers and contractor maintenance crews), designing and implementing continuous‑improvement applications and systems to enhance equipment longevity. What You Will Do Lead and manage numerous reliability improvement initiatives and projects to achieve desired results. Interface with all levels of the organization, within the facility and groups outside the facility. Support continuous improvement processes through decision making, employee involvement, systems and training. Meet and exceed objectives and metrics for safety, cost and productivity performance. Maintain records associated with mechanical integrity. Develop skills and knowledge in the Maintenance Department. Utilize the MBM® Guiding Principles in all interactions with Mill team members, GP team members, vendors, visitors, etc. Monitor key reliability measures and establish additional measures as needed. Lead/participate in the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) process to identify and drive out long‑term chronic problems and failures. Track RCA recommendations and ensure they are completed. Coordinate handoffs to the Asset Reliability group. Work with Production and Reliability management members to develop and improve PM inspection routes and systems. Promote operator equipment ownership through the operator essential care program. Actively participate in planning and executing outages for the facility. Use the Decision Making Framework process to advance beneficial projects for full funding. Provide leadership to direct and indirect staff to meet or exceed key operation targets and daily support to the operating area as needed. Basic Qualifications Experience leading within a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Trades certificate or relevant secondary education. Knowledge in Maintenance Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, and experience utilizing Root Cause Analysis or similar problem‑solving tools. Experience using CMMS. What Will Put You Ahead Experience leading within a Union Environment. Industrial Millwright Trade Certificate. OSB or Wood Products manufacturing experience in a maintenance leadership role.
