Aversan delivers leading-edge and reliable safety-critical electronics and software systems to the aerospace, defense, and space industries.We are currently seeking a qualified Embedded Software Engineer , you will be instrumental in using your skill and experience as part of a team to design, implement, maintain, and test safety critical, real-time flight software solutions that are modular, extendable, testable, and efficient. You will lead difficult and complicated system design and implementations helping to grow the skills of more junior teammates through mentoring and coaching.Responsibilities:Lead designs for safety critical, real-time software solutionsEnsure designs are documented and well communicatedLead and participate in the implementation and testing of safety critical, real-time softwareReview the work of teammates (senior and junior)Mentor and grow the skills of more junior team members via conversations, review of work products, explanation of design tradeoffs, etc.Lead estimation efforts for new tasksCollaborate with other seniors and management on the establishment, evolution, and enforcement of standards for coding, tools/environments, processes, etc.Other duties as will be assigned from time to time by management or a team leadRequirements:Strong knowledge and practical experience with C/C++Minimum 5 years' hands on experience with VxWorks (Windriver)10+ years of developing embedded applicationsProven ability to design and implement safety critical real-time software solutionsAutomated testingBachelor's degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering or Computer ScienceCommunications interfaces (SPI, Ethernet, CANOpen, etc.)Test driven development (TDD, ATDD, BDD)Continuous integration/build automationAgile development environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
