This is a remote position within Canada.

About The Role

Our Accounting Practice is currently searching for a full-time Senior Accountant to provide expert full-cycle accounting support to our clients in a board range of industries. In this role you'll maintain financial records, process transactions, complete reconciliations, prepare scheduled financial reports, ensure accuracy, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and practice standards.

What You’ll Do

Each day looks a little different here, but in this role you can expect to…

Manage the full-cycle accounting function for a number oforganizations to meet their business needs.

Accurately record and reconcile complex financial transactions, prepare and process payroll, and monitor and review other transaction streams.

Lead the accounting team in month end and year end closing processes.

Prepare and review financial statements, assist in the set up of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practice standards.

Provide guidance and training to the junior accounting staff.

Build strong, trusted relationships with clients to understand their unique accounting requirements and ensure their needs are met.

What We’re Looking For

3+ years accounting experience in a range of small and mid-sized organizations.

A degree or a 3-year diploma in Accounting.

Intermediate accounting knowledge, along with the ability to learn and skillfully operate multiple accounting packages.

Experience training and mentoring staff.

The driveto do things right and take a constructive approach to solving problems.

Strong organizational abilities, high ethical standards, and a collaborative nature.

The desire to help the team and clients succeed.
