EBC thinks outside the box and deploys all its know-how to carry out major infrastructure projects: bridges, roads, highways, tunnels, marine installations. Our ability to meet deadlines and budgets as well as our vast expertise in the field allow us to actively participate in large-scale projects such as the Samuel-De-Champlain Bridge, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) and the Site C hydro-electric power station located near Fort St-John in British Columbia.

Our seasoned team of engineers, project managers and other specialists also put their energy into the construction of wind farms and to the benefit of hydroelectric projects such as dams, power stations, tunnels and dikes. p>As an Estimator with our Civil Team, you will:

  1. Be responsible for all estimating aspects of the Tendering process;
  2. Review tender documents to determine the scope of work, including project milestones and constraints;
  3. Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator in the development of competitive tenders;
  4. Build level 1 schedule in MS Project with resources and project milestones;
  5. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate data, including current and accurate information on prices from suppliers;
  6. Increase EBC’s brand and visibility in the GTA Market;
  7. Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator and the Director, to ensure EBC meets the various milestones;
  8. Establish and keep outstanding communications between subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants;
  9. Ensure chair internal bid review meetings with EBC’s senior management.
Requirements
  1. Degree in civil engineering or construction engineering;
  2. Previous experience in estimating civil construction projects;
  3. Experience in heavy civil pricing work such as cofferdams, shoring, road construction, bridge rehabilitation, in-water works;
  4. Experience using estimating software and systems and capacity to adapt to new estimating software;
  5. Experience with TPL Estimating software would be considered an asset;
  6. Estimate setup for job costing and job cost analysis of active and completed project.
  7. Complete group insurance program upon entry (health and dental components paid by the employer);
  8. 24 hour access to a virtual doctor (telemedicine);
  9. Training and development programs;
  10. Active social club and health and wellness committee;
