Our client is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager with a strong background in warehouse and logistics management. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations, inventory management, and team leadership within a high-volume, fast-paced distribution environment.

Job Description

Reporting to the President, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing warehouse operations to ensure efficient workflow, inventory accuracy, and timely deliveries. This role involves managing daily warehouse activities, leading a team, and driving continuous improvements in operations and productivity. The Warehouse Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective and cost-efficient distribution while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, conduct cycle counts, and reduce shrinkage.
  • Implement strategies for optimal product flow and inventory turnover.
  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, ensuring proper resource allocation and productivity.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, including inventory management optimization and lean principles.
  • Manage warehouse budget, track costs, and analyze performance against targets.
  • Oversee compliance for international shipments and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Prepare performance reports, monitor key metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery schedules, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely product availability.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, managing order fulfillment, and resolving shipping or delivery issues promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.

THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

  • Education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Possess eight (8) years of relevant experience, including at least four (4) years in a management role, with expertise in logistics operations, procurement, inventory management, or related projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in warehouse or logistics management, ideally within a distribution environment, and in managing teams in fast-paced, high-volume operations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP software.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety standards, inventory management, and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments and manage time effectively.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Good communication skills in both English and French are preferred.
  • Different combinations of relevant experience and education may be considered.
