BH Tech is seeking a versatile Software Development Specialist / Technical Support Analyst to join our dynamic team. This blended role is perfect for someone passionate about software development within the MSP tech stack and open to supporting technical operations as needed. The expected split is approximately 80% software development and 20% technical support, but this may shift based on project demands.

This Position Entails:

  • Supporting and developing client systems on the Microsoft Power Platform including Dataverse, Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate components.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS codebases.
  • Engaging in both front-end and back-end development, and overseeing database management.
  • Providing occasional customer-facing Level 1 technical support.
  • Collaborating with internal and client teams to identify and implement software solutions.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of relational databases and effectively working with SQL and Dataverse.
  • Applying analytical skills to troubleshoot, resolve, and document technical challenges.
  • Managing and maintaining code version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development, including training in new technologies and certifications.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Technology Diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2+ years experience with object-oriented programming languages.
  • Intermediate experience with PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and proven experience with SQL.
  • Experience in full-stack development including front-end and back-end projects.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Exceptional customer service and the ability to engage with clients effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong time-management skills.

Assets:

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and model-driven Power Apps, is a significant asset.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server (e.g., GPO, OU, Security Group configurations).
  • General networking experience (firewalls, DNS) or a willingness to learn.
  • Experience with Linux server management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (Entra ID, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with MSP tech stacks like Autotask, Datto RMM, IT Glue.
  • Version control experience with Git or Azure DevOps.
