Description of the role

We are looking for a Manager, Risk and Compliance Services with a strong background in Financial and Business Process Audits or Advisory to work as an integral part of our experienced service delivery team serving enterprises in financial services, public sector, high technology sector, and other industry sectors. You will be helping our clients to solve complex business, risk and IT challenges.

You will be an integral part of our team, providing support with the following activities:

  • Support the scoping of audit projects—for example SOX processes, FRCR, & IT audit—collaborating with process owners to identify key financial reporting processes and related controls.
  • Lead and prepare for client stakeholder discussions – for example process and control walkthroughs, status update meetings – ensuring clear communication and guidance for the clients and internal Cyberium team.
  • Analyze controls across organizational processes – Financial, Business and Operational– identifying and classifying key and non-key controls to optimize the efficiency of testing procedures.
  • Conduct financial and business process control testing to evaluate the effectiveness of Financial and Business Process internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) in accordance with SOX requirements or similar frameworks.
  • Discuss the rationale for key controls structure with external auditors, providing a comprehensive understanding of the control environment and facilitating an effective audit process.
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary information and support during the audit process to ensure a smooth and efficient engagement.
  • Maintain and update documentation related to internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and support implementation and improvement of control procedures and policies as necessary.
  • Support performance of IT control and ITGC testing to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of information technology controls for compliance in accordance with SOX requirements or other regulations (SOC 2, SOC 1, NIST, ISO27001 etc.).

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4 - 6 years of combined relevant experience.
  • IT auditing, risk management and information security advisory services for mid to large size enterprises.
  • CA / CPA / ACCA preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in Internal Audit projects such as SOX, ICFR, NI 52-109, etc., control scoping, identifying key controls, and testing controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience with client or internal communication with C-Suite and Senior members of the team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • CISA certification is an asset.
  • Experience with ITGC or IT Audit projects
  • Exposure to NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001 and 27701, and other similar frameworks is an asset.
